His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. Donaldson started uploading videos to YouTube in 2012, at 13 years old under the handle "MrBeast6000" and his initial content ranged from Let's Plays to "videos that estimated the amount of money other YouTubers have." In 2017 his "counting up to 100,000" YouTube video went viral. He was 13 years old young and had the handle "MrBeast6000". The first videos were Let's Plays and videos that analyzed other YouTubers' wealth. Donaldson has had a number of his former classmates help him to manage his growing YouTube channel. MrBeast is Donaldson's primary YouTube channel. The channel reached 100 million subscribers on July 28, 2022.
