Anna Silk is a Fredericton resident, and is the daughter of Peter Silk, who was an academic. The mother of her, Ilkay Silk, had numerous skills, such as being able perform, direct production, create plays, teach, and be director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father comes from Britain as does her mother, who is the "Turkish Cypriot-English expat." Anna's early memories of attending rehearsals for play as well as watching her mother's work. As a young kid, she made the rounds in a variety of commercials. Anna relocated to Toronto in November 1999 in order to continue her acting career. After that, she settled in Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman was introduced to Anna in Los Angeles at an acting training workshop held in 2007. The couple got engaged in the year 2009. Anna began her journey to becoming a Jewish woman in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. The couple was wed in a civil ceremony in December the same year, and they then renewed their vows at a Jewish ceremony held in Fredericton on April 11, 2011. Bo's similar-sex romance with Lauren (played by Zoie Palmer) was highlighted in the list of CNN's all-time Favorite TV Couples as well as named the most popular TV Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. The success of the show led to Anna building a large followers on social media.
