Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder (born Winona Laura Hornowitz) was born in Winona Minnesota. The parents of Winona Ryder named her for her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz, and mother Cynthia Palmer are authors and editors. Ryder's parents are both Jewish. Ryder believes herself to be Jewish. Uria is Ryder's younger sister. Jubal, Sunyata and Sunyata are Ryder's half-siblings. When Ryder was just seven years old, her family relocated to Mendocino County California. There was no electricity. Ryder would read extensively because of the lack of television. Ryder, then 12, took up a place at the American Conservatory Theatre for acting classes in 1983. Lucas The film from 1986, was her first major character. Ryder was 15 at the time she was cast. Ryder faced bullying during her time in high school. Ryder believed that her future as an actress could make a difference. However, it didn't take place. But she continued to pursue her dreams. Beetlejuice, a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first major break. Ryder kept playing successful roles in several movies. In 1993 she received two nominations for Academy Awards. One of the nominations was for her part in The Age of Innocence.
